You board the Aleutian Ballad, a 107-foot crab boat that appeared on Deadliest Catch, and stay in sheltered water near Annette Bay while the crew sets and hauls pots. Whatever comes up (king and Dungeness crab, octopus, rockfish, prawns) goes into a tank so you can hold it before it is thrown back. The covered lower deck is heated and set up like a small amphitheater; despite the name, the boat never goes near the Bering Sea.

Departs Berth 3 downtown; Ward Cove passengers should allow 45 minutes for the free shuttle. An August 2026 Viator review describes a departure cancelled for engine failure, which the operator confirmed in its reply. GetYourGuide reviewers scored value for money 3.2 of 5.
